Access to Work recommend Dyslexia Rooms to provide support for people experiencing difficulty in the workplace.

For Employers

All organisations are legally required to support dyslexic employees under the Disability Discrimination Act (1995, 2004).

"Lack of Disability Awareness Training for staff with responsibility for disabled persons can result in that person making

inappropriate assumptions of a disabled person's ability and thus have a devastating effect on the disabled person's self-esteem and confidence. This can result in deterioration of the disabled person's performance at work. Employers have responsibilities towards their disabled employees" (Employers Code of Practice British Dyslexia Association, 2008).
